Basic Officer Initial Security Office Training

Certification Training
Arrest techniques & Restraint Devices
This course covers the basic rules, laws, techniques, and regulations of conducting a search for weapons, handcuffing a suspect, and making an arrest.
Stun Devices
This course is instructed by Axon certified instructors. It covers the technical aspects, tactics, operation, usage, and carrying of the Axon Tasers and other stun devices. Classroom and practical training are provided including live firing and live demonstrations.

Chemical Agents
This is a certified and approved course that covers the usage and carrying of pepper spray and other non-lethal chemical agents. Practical training and classroom time are provided including firing and live demonstrations.

Firearms Training
The course includes the handling, safety, carriage, and use of firearms. The course meets the requirements providing that the student receives the necessary training and gains a permit to carry a handgun concealed (CCW Permit). Classroom and range training are provided. Students may qualify with any one or all of the following calibers .38, .357, .44, .40, .45, 9mm and 10mm.
